Street parking and shared driveways.
Westdale is a mix of older detached houses, many with narrow driveways or shared drives, and homes with no driveway at all. Lots of residents park on the street. We bring our own water, power and lighting, so we do not need access to your house. We do need space beside the car and a spot where we are not blocking traffic or a neighbour.
If your street has permit rules or timed parking, check them for the day, and tell us the cross street when you book so we can plan the setup. A garage or laneway spot is even better.
Westdale also has a good number of homes with detached garages at the back of the lot, reached by a laneway. If that is you, a garage is a good place to work in bad weather, and it keeps the car out of the sun and out of the way of passers-by. A quick photo of the spot with the quote request helps us plan.
Tree cover and the valley.
Westdale has some of the best tree cover in Hamilton, and Cootes Paradise sits right at the bottom of the hill. Good for walks, hard on paint. Sap, pollen, seed pods and bird droppings land on parked cars, and the damp air near the marsh leaves a film on glass. Fresh droppings are acidic and can mark the clear coat if they sit.
Our guide to sap and bird droppings explains what to do between visits. At a detail, clay bar treatment lifts the sticky film that a wash leaves behind.
Student cars and move-out season.
With McMaster so close, many Westdale cars see heavy use and uneven care: takeout bags, gym kit, textbooks and the odd spilled coffee. Interior Restoration starts from $119 $149 and handles the deep clean. If you are selling or returning a vehicle at the end of term, see pre-sale detailing or lease return detailing.
Commuters who use Highway 403 or Main St W also collect brake dust and road film, which Exterior Revival (starting from $103 $129) removes.
Nearby and how to book.
Hamilton is a core service zone, so there is no travel fee. We also serve Ainslie Wood and Kirkendall, and the Hamilton car detailing page has the full list. Request a quote in about 60 seconds. Photos are optional, and a tailored quote usually comes the same day.
