Heritage homes, careful setup.

Durand has large older houses, some with carriage-house garages, long narrow drives or parking at the back. Street parking is common too. We bring our own water, power and lighting and work beside the car, so there is no need for access to the house. In tight spots we work carefully around fences, stone walls and mature plantings.

If a rear laneway or a courtyard is the best place, say so when you book. That is often better than a busy street.

Overhead branches and old stone or brick surfaces can drop debris, so we like to look at the spot in advance. If you send a photo of where the car usually sits, we can say whether it works or whether a different part of the property is better.

Shade, stone and the escarpment.

Large trees shade much of Durand, which is kind to paint in summer but heavy on sap, seeds and leaves in spring and fall. Near the escarpment, damp air and runoff leave film and mineral marks on glass. Our guide to hard-water spots on paint explains why these should not sit.

The hilly streets are also tougher on brakes, so wheels and calipers collect dark dust. We clean the wheel faces, barrels and tires as part of Exterior Revival.

Cars that deserve patient work.

Durand has its share of classic, European and premium vehicles. For those, we use a gentle process: hand wash, careful decontamination and proper drying. A one-step paint enhancement reduces light swirls and brings back depth before protection goes on. See luxury and exotic car detailing for the approach; exotics add $60.

For long-term protection, Ceramic / Protection starts from $399 $499 and takes a full day. Read our ceramic coating guide first if you are deciding.

Older paint, whether on a classic or a well-used daily driver, can be thinner than modern factory finishes. We stay gentle with it, and we tell you at the walk-around what we found and what we did not touch. If a panel has deeper damage, we say so rather than promise a result a polish cannot deliver.
