Driveways with room to work.
Most Mountain neighbourhoods have detached homes with real driveways, often with a double garage. That makes setup easy: we park beside the car and work with the doors open, with our own water, power and lighting. A wide driveway also makes multi-car bookings simple, and each additional vehicle in the same booking is 20% off.
The Mountain is big, so mention your nearest major road, such as Upper James St, Mohawk Rd or Rymal Rd, when you book.
Newer subdivisions on the east and west Mountain often have garages with short aprons, while older bungalow streets have long single-width driveways. Both work. If the car lives in a garage, we can work in the doorway or on the apron, whichever has more room and light.
Wind, salt and the commute.
Up on the Mountain, the open land and wide arterials mean more wind and often more snow than down in the lower city. Residents commute on the Lincoln Alexander Parkway, Red Hill Valley Parkway and Highway 403, and salt is heavy in winter. Our winter car care checklist is worth a read before the first snow. The road salt guide covers what to do afterwards.
Brake dust also builds up on wheels on the access roads down the escarpment.
Gravel and grit from the rural roads on the outer edge of the Mountain also end up on lower panels and in wheel arches, so we spend extra time there. A sealant after clay treatment helps the dirt release more easily at the next wash.
Trucks, SUVs and family vehicles.
Pickups, SUVs and minivans are common here. Size adds to the price: SUV +$30, truck +$40, van or minivan +$50. For the inside, Interior Restoration starts from $119 $149. See truck detailing and SUV detailing for more.
For a vehicle you plan to keep, Ceramic / Protection starts from $399 $499 and takes a full day. It includes full paint decontamination, a machine paint enhancement and coated wheel faces.
Nearby and how to book.
Hamilton is a core service zone, so there is no travel fee. We also serve Ainslie Wood below the escarpment, and the Hamilton car detailing page covers the rest. Request a quote and we usually reply the same day.
