Georgetown mixes older houses near the downtown with newer subdivisions of detached homes and townhouses. Newer streets usually have driveways and garages that fit two vehicles, while older streets can be tighter or rely on street parking. We bring our own water, power and lighting, so we only need space beside the car.

Georgetown is also home to a number of tall mature trees, particularly near the older core, so sap and seed fall is something to watch. A car parked there for a few days in spring should be rinsed more often than one in a new subdivision with young trees.
The commuter cycle.
Many Georgetown drivers head down Trafalgar Rd, Highway 7 or the Georgetown GO line to reach Brampton, Mississauga and Toronto. Park-and-ride lots, long highway runs and winter salt leave a coat of road film and brake dust that normal washing misses.
