Why we do full details out here
Ancaster is a little further than our home turf, so we focus it on the work that makes the trip worthwhile: the full detail and ceramic coating. A full detail is three to five hours with every part of the car covered once, instead of a booking for the inside and another for the outside. We confirm scheduling when we quote, with a day and window that suit you.
If you only want one half, say so on the quote form. We will tell you whether it fits.
Think of it as a reset. People usually book a full detail after a winter, before a long trip, before selling or when they simply cannot stand the car any longer. All of those are good reasons.
What is in the package
The Full Detail starts from $176 $220, plus a size add-on if you drive something bigger (SUV +$30, truck +$40, minivan +$50).
Inside: deep vacuum and steam, carpet and seat shampoo extraction, leather cleaned and conditioned, glass, trim and console.
Outside: hand wash and dry, iron and tar decontamination, clay bar treatment, wheels, tires and trim dressing.
Finish: sealant protection on the paint and a panel-by-panel walk-around with you. Anything not right gets fixed on the spot. See the full detail page for more.
The sealant step is what separates this from a wash and a vacuum. It gives the paint a protective layer that makes water bead and dirt rinse off more easily for weeks to months, depending on how the car is used and washed. It is not ceramic coating, which is a longer-term and more involved service.
Long driveways, big garages
Many Ancaster homes have a garage and room to park beside the car, which suits our setup: we bring water, power and lighting, and a garage keeps the interior work out of the weather. If there is more than one car in the household, every additional vehicle in the same booking is 20% off. That is the sensible way to make use of a day.
A garage also protects a car that has just been sealed. Leave it out of rain for a little while, if you can.
For SUVs with a third row or a cargo area full of sports gear, tell us when you quote. We allow time for the extra surface and the corners where crumbs pile up.
Dust, valley air and the 403
