Why moisture is the real enemy

That is why we use extraction rather than soaking: shampoo goes in, then the dirty water is pulled straight back out. The cabin finishes only lightly damp and dries fast with the doors open.
Leather first, fabric second
A lot of cars around Old Oakville and Joshua Creek have leather seating. Leather is skin-like: sun and heat dry it, body oils and dye transfer from denim darken it. We clean it with a soft brush, then condition it so it stays supple.

Fogged glass and film
Inside glass is easy to overlook. In humid weather a thin hazy film builds on the windscreen from the plastics off-gassing and from everyday breath moisture. It catches the glare of low sun off the lake and makes night driving worse.
We clean glass last, so nothing drips back on it, using a flat microfibre pass for each pane. If you park under trees, pollen and sap overspray also settle on the dash through open windows, and we wipe that off too.
