Dundas drivers.

Dundas is a town of historic homes, small lots and tight streets. Many people park on the street, on a narrow driveway or in a rear laneway. That affects how we set up, so let us know when you book.

Valley conditions and your paint.

Trees everywhere. Dundas is greener than most towns around it. Cars parked under maples and lindens collect sap, aphid honeydew and pollen. Honeydew bakes onto paint in the sun and is harder to remove the longer it sits. Our sap and droppings guide explains why a sealant helps.

Steep grades. The roads up and down the escarpment (Highway 5 and several side streets) are hard on brakes. Brake dust sticks to wheel faces.

Winter salt and damp. The valley can stay damp and cold. Salt on the interior floor can hold moisture and lead to musty smells if left too long. Our salt removal add-on is $40.

Trail and conservation use. Dundas is next to well-known trails and conservation areas. Muddy boots, wet dogs and gear mean carpets and seats take a beating.

Parking in a historic town.

Dundas has many older homes with narrow or shared driveways and a lot of street parking. Mobile detailing still works, but we plan carefully: where we can park beside the car, how far the water hose has to reach, and whether the street is busy. A rear lane, a side drive or a private lot all work.

If you work in Burlington or Hamilton, booking at your office lot can be simpler than a street in Dundas. Check our Burlington and Hamilton pages for how that works.

Tip: before we arrive, remove loose items from the car. The preparation guide lists what to take out.

How we travel and how we work.

Dundas is in the valley below the escarpment, a short run west of our core Hamilton and Burlington routes. We come out regularly for full details and ceramic coatings, where the work fills most of a day; for a quick exterior or interior on its own, timing depends on our Hamilton bookings that week.

The easiest way to find out is the 60-second quote form. Put in your Dundas street and the car, and we will reply with honest options, including when we are next in the valley.

Older Dundas homes often have tight driveways or a detached garage at the back. Tell us what you have; we only need room to walk around the car, and we bring water, power and lights ourselves. Bad weather costs you nothing, since we reschedule or work under cover.

Questions people ask

  • Often. We need space beside the car and a safe place to set up. If street parking is tight, a nearby lot or a driveway can work. Describe your setup when you book.
  • We travel regularly for full details and ceramic work. Smaller jobs depend on the schedule, so ask when you quote.
  • Usually. Iron and tar decontamination and a clay bar treatment lift most sap, and a sealant helps prevent it bonding again.
  • Tell us. We need the car stable and a reasonably flat area to work. We can usually find a safe arrangement.
